My first item of business will be to discuss my hatred for Pitchfork Media. Lets recap for all you music lovers out there pitchforks "best new music" for this month...
Antony and the Johnsons - The Crying Light...Pitchfork rating 8.6. "On The Crying Light, Hegarty is fascinated with those steps-- the transitions and overlaps between birth and life, life and death, this world and the next. "From your skin I am born again," he sings in "One Dove", an ode to a bird from "the other side" that comes to "bring me some peace." Later, "Aeon" depicts eternity as a baby boy born to take care of his father, as time melts generations together. Blah Blah fucking blah...just more dribble.
Are you fucking serious?! I couldn't even spit that bullshit out if someone paid me, which is obviously what is going on here. This album is terrible and anyone who thinks differently has serious issues up in the brain basket. Pitchfork is built around a bunch of hypocrites who somehow decided that because an album has a "concept" it is good music and if we don't get that "concept" then we are not as cool as them. What a bunch of fucking turds. For unbiased musical opinions I would rather talk to the bum who pisses on the corner of my street. At least he would be honest in telling me this album sounds like a crooning tranny with a finger up his ass. I will give Antony one good piece of advice...Stick to singing backup for Hercules and Love Affair...He/She did well with disco beats pumpin. Go figure.
Oh man oh man oh man oh man
